NutriBites respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you visit our website, buy from us or contact us, what we do with it, and the rights you have over it. It is written to meet UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Who we are

NutriBites is a UK food supplement brand and is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

What we collect

  • Contact and order details: name, email address, delivery and billing address, phone number, order history.
  • Payment data: processed by our payment providers. We do not see or store your full card number.
  • Account and subscription data: your account details and, if you subscribe, your delivery schedule.
  • Correspondence: emails and messages you send us.
  • Technical and usage data: IP address, device and browser type, pages visited and session activity, collected through cookies and similar technologies.

We do not ask you for health information, and you should not send us any. If you choose to mention health details when contacting us, we use them only to answer your query.

Why we use it, and our legal basis

  • To fulfil your order — take payment, dispatch goods, handle returns and manage subscriptions. Legal basis: performance of a contract.
  • To provide customer service — answer your questions and resolve problems. Legal basis: performance of a contract and our legitimate interests.
  • To send marketing emails — only where you have opted in. Legal basis: consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
  • To keep the site secure, prevent fraud and improve how it works. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
  • To meet legal and tax obligations. Legal basis: legal obligation.

Who we share it with

We share personal data only with service providers who need it to run the shop, and only for that purpose. These include:

  • Shopify, which hosts our store and processes checkout
  • Payment providers, including Shopify Payments and PayPal
  • Our UK fulfilment and warehouse partner
  • Delivery carriers, including Royal Mail and Evri
  • Our subscription management provider, where you have a subscription
  • Our email marketing provider, where you have opted in
  • Analytics and advertising providers, where you have accepted those cookies

We may also disclose data where the law requires it. We never sell or rent your personal data.

International transfers

Some of our providers process data outside the UK. Where that happens we rely on UK adequacy regulations or on standard contractual clauses with appropriate safeguards.

How long we keep it

  • Order and transaction records: 7 years, to meet UK accounting and tax requirements.
  • Account and subscription data: while your account is open, and then up to 2 years.
  • Marketing data: until you unsubscribe, and then only a suppression record so we do not email you again.
  • Customer service emails: up to 2 years after your query is closed.

Cookies

We use cookies that are necessary for the site to work (for example to remember your basket), and, with your consent, cookies for analytics and advertising. You can accept or reject non-essential cookies through the banner on our site and change your choice at any time in your browser settings.

Your rights

You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to how we use it, to data portability, and to withdraw consent to marketing at any time. To exercise any of these, email info@nutribitesmarket.com. We will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.

Children

Our products and website are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed, and we will tell you by email or a notice on the site if the change is significant.
